The best food is the one you share and 'The way to the heart is through the stomach.' as the proverb has it. I think this fits here very well. I love good food in a genial surrounding. Much laughter as well as deep silence while enjoying the dainties.
This is exactly what happened a few weeks ago. Some people met and had a (hopefully) fantastic evening together. But as I am wrtiting here in the "food" section I will now focus on the tasty food we had.
Tapas are originally small side dishes from Spain that are served as appetizer to wine or beer. Nowadays (especially outside of Spain) the concept of a tapas bar or eating tapas is not only an appetizer or a side dish but a whole meal to share with many different ones combined. In spanish this would be rather called ración (share/portion) than tapa. The following list gives an overview of what we had (I hope I did not forget to mention anything):
Except of the dips (last four in the list) we had no remainings in the end. And now enjoy some of the few photos I took during the preparation. Sadly I totally forgot taking pictures during the evening. But I think that is more a prove of how entertaining and relaxing the whole evening has been.
Enjoy!
Your,
Wandering Dragon
